Confluence of the Sava and the Sora Rivers
The meeting point of the Sora and Sava Rivers inspired the town’s name, Medvode (literally: between waters), the municipal coat of arms, the flag and the name of the Sotočje Medvode Public Institute.
The Medvode library and the municipal administration building are located at the point where the two rivers meet, while the confluence itself is a great area for a short rest on a romantic evening walk. The people of Medvode say that one is not truly a local before swimming in the confluence at least once.
