Nordic Centre Bonovec

In the summer, Nordic Centre Bonovec is a large grassy plateau through which an asphalt and lighted bike path runs; in the nearby forest, there is a trim trail Ekofit Bonovček; and in the winter, it is a cross-country ski run with its own snow system and the option of skiing in the evening.

Cross-country tracks at the Nordic Centre Bonovec Medvode are approved by the highest FIS type-approval. Typically, only parts of the tracks suitable for recreation are maintained, but during major competitions, the entire cross-country track is set up.

A 1.2 km long cross-country skiing track on varied terrain is currently maintained (register from 19 January 2021). The track is 6 to 8 meters wide and designed to accommodate both classical and free technique. There are also ascents along the track, and every ascent has a passage that allows those with less experience to avoid the ascent. As a result, the track is suitable for everyone, from beginners to competitors.

The cross-country track is open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily, and from 8 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. on Sundays. As a result, the track is also appropriate for those whose work obligations prevent them from training during the day, as they can relax under the lights and run a few laps.

The tracks are fortified with technical snow and regulated with tamping machines at least once a day. There is a parking lot, toilets, and a heated wardrobe along the track, and we also have a cross-country equipment rental and a running school in the sports centre, which prepares weekend and weekly cross-country skiing courses. You can hire a personal trainer, host a cross-country course for your company with equipment rental, or even hold a competition.

A fee for track maintenance is collected along the route; a day ticket costs 5 euros, a night ticket costs 6 euros, and visitors over the age of 70 can train for free.
